We will notify you in-app at least 7 days before any material changes take effect, except for security updates or court-ordered changes which may take effect immediately.

v1.7 — Privacy Policy: Brevo entity; new section for users in Korea Updated

Privacy Policy: Brevo Inc. (United States) stores beta applications and sends our beta emails. Brevo stores applications on its servers in France and Belgium, and Brevo group companies in Germany, the United States and India can access them for support and maintenance.
Privacy Policy: a new “For users in Korea” section, in Korean, covers applying for the beta through our Korean sign-up form.

v1.6 — Privacy Policy: Beta testers section covers the Instagram/Facebook sign-up form; ad-source wording (23 October 2026) Updated

Privacy Policy: the “Beta testers” section now covers signing up through our form on Instagram or Facebook: what the form collects, that Meta passes your answers to us and uses form data for its own purposes under Meta’s Privacy Policy, and that your form stays available to us in Meta for 90 days.
Privacy Policy (23 October 2026): if you came through one of our ads, we record which post or ad it was and count sign-ups by post or ad to see which work.

v1.5 — Privacy Policy: new Beta testers section Updated

Privacy Policy: a new “Beta testers” section covers applying for and taking part in the Star Thrown beta: the data, why we use it, who receives it, where it goes, when we delete it, and how to leave the beta early.
Account deletion page: if you unsubscribe from our launch email list, we keep your address only as a record not to email you, unless you ask us to delete it.

v1.4 — Privacy Policy and account deletion: chat provider, retention periods Updated

Privacy Policy: Unity (Vivox) processes the chat data we list only on our behalf and on our instructions, as our service provider; its own processing is limited to technical and performance data about how the chat service runs, which does not include your messages or account details. Purchase records are now deleted automatically 7 years after the purchase or refund.
Account deletion page: purchase records are deleted 7 years after the purchase or refund; reports and the record of a deletion 2 years after they were written; your score in past rounds is shown as “[Deleted Player]”.

v1.3 — Privacy Policy: other data we collect Updated

Privacy Policy: added profile pictures, purchase records, chat diagnostics, the device integrity check and the minimum age (18).
Account deletion page: profile pictures are now deleted with the account.

v1.2 — Privacy Policy and Terms corrections Updated

Privacy Policy: the link to Unity now goes to Unity’s Game Player and App User Privacy Policy; the list of third parties is now given as examples.
Terms of Service: ‘Last updated’ corrected to September 27, 2026, the date of the v1.1 link change.

v1.1 — Privacy Policy: in-game chat Updated

Privacy Policy now lives at starthrown.com/privacy. It has two parts, read together as one policy: the page on this site and our full policy hosted by Iubenda.
Added an “In-game chat (Vivox)” section. In-game text chat is provided by Vivox, a service of Unity Technologies. The section sets out the chat data Unity processes, why, how long it is kept, and its transfer to the United States.
Added a statement that every third party receiving player data from Star Thrown must protect it to the same or an equal standard as this policy.
Terms of Service: the Privacy Policy link now points to starthrown.com/privacy. No other change to the Terms.

Terms of Service published — covers account registration, purchases, refunds, user content, prohibited activities, dispute resolution (AAA arbitration, Miami-Dade, FL), and governing law (Florida).
Privacy Policy published — covers data collected via Firebase Auth and Realtime Database, user-generated content (chat, profile pictures), account deletion rights, and contact information.
